First launched in 1999 in Singapore by Beng-Yeow Goh with visions to educate and empower the online community with the potentials of handheld computers, PDALive.com has truly grown and matured into the international community it now embodies. Based in the United States since being taken over by Justin Nolan in 2003, it continues to appeal to a loyal user base from all over the world. Today, PDALive.com can truly be considered your source for news on mobile devices of all varieties including not only handheld computers, but also mobile phones and cameras, as well as a resource for collecting cool tips, great deals, and new products. Best of all, PDALive.com is a place to meet amicable people from the world over with common interests in mobile technology, where - in the end - it's all about having a good time.

 The PDA LIVE Team

Justin Nolan (jnolan)
PDALive.com Captain
Justin Nolan lives and breathes PDAs. First enamoured by the earlier models by Palm, he has since expanded his collection to include various Palm models, a Treo communicator, and an HP iPaq. In the real world, he works for Handmark, as well as runs the Kansas City Palm Users Group. First introduced to the internet PDA community when he started PDAwerks.com five years ago, he found a unique opportunity to expand his dreams for a strong PDA community in the acquisition and revival of PDALive.com. His goals? To share his love for PDAs and help to strengthen the internet PDA community.
jnolan & mika Emily (Mika)
Administrator
You'd think a girl like her should collect shoes, but Emily's weakness is mobile devices. She'll drool over much more, but you'll see her walking around with a Sony Clié TG50 and a Sony Ericsson T616 phone, as well as her latest toy - the Sony VAIO U8G palmtop computer. She was first driven to PDA forums to get help with using PDAs in her medical training, but it's been five years of moderating PDA forums now, and PDALive.com is her off-hours passion. Her life passion? She's currently a neurology resident physician in Canada.

rlborg RLBorg
Administrator
RLBorg is a father of two who also adopted his ex-wife's older daughter. He has been programming since before high school, and has his bachelor's degree in computers. As his kids are his pride and joy, he gets together with them whenever possible. He has multiple PDAs though all but one are VTech Helio's. His main PDA is an Audiovox Maestro. As any good Borg, he loves technology. Five years into the world of PDA forum moderation now, he'll assimilate you too.

meiam Alexander Nikolaichjuk (meiam)
News Director
Alexander is a student of Management of Foreign Trade at the Zaporizhzhia State University, Ukraine. Much of his spare time he’s devoting to writing news and reviews for PDALive as mobile gadgetry is his fad number one. Among his other hobbies are sports (especially soccer and volleyball), reading and music. He got involved in the world of handheld computers approximately four years ago and now simply can’t imagine his life without these small yet immensely nifty and neat devices.

Gerry Abesamis (Gerome)
Writer
Gerry is a biochemistry student in San Francisco, California, on the path into the pharmacy field. He has been a Palm enthusiast ever since the day his older brother gave him his "useless" Palm Vx, has been playing around with Palm devices ever since, and was eager to get his hands on the Foleo the day it was announced.

All forms of storytelling captures his imagination from movies and books to webcomics and machinima, and he writes as a hobby. Blackjack and poker are also often on his mind

The coincidental timing of the announcement of the Foleo and an open call for writers allowed him to combine his love of writing with his love of gadgets.

mashby Michael T. Ashby (Mashby)
Senior Consultant
Michael T. Ashby is the founder and Director of the Nashville Palm Users Group (NPUG) as well as the founder and director of InterPUG, a volunteer organization whose purpose is to support local Palm User Groups (PUGs) around the world. Michael is also a founding member of the Palm OS User Council. In addition to his love of the Palm OS, Michael also is the owner of the IT consulting firm The Ashby Group. Michael’s personal weblog can be found at www.mashby.com. He can also be heard on the Computer Outlook radio show.

spvwolfy Suzanne (spvwolfy)
Moderator
Suzanne is married, and has 1 dog and 4 cats; which are her children. She has been into all kinds of electronic gadgets all her life. She got hooked on Palms in 1998 at MacWorld Expo in New York and is also very much into Macintosh computers. Suzanne loves gadgets of all kinds!

macfixer Kyle (Macfixer)
Moderator
Macfixer has been taking electronics apart and trying to reassemble them (using all of the screws) since childhood. He has been using PDAs since the halcyon days of 1991, when his parents bought him a 32k Casio Organizer to help him keep track of his college homework assignments. A technician at heart, he works for Apple Computer in Connecticut. He is married and has one kid, two cats (and sometimes a fish). He still has leftover screws throughout the house.

goodeye Kenny C. (goodeye18)
Moderator
Kenny lives in the Phoenix Metro area in Arizona. He has always been into gadgets. His First PDA was a Visor Platinum, but now is using a Tungsten E. He is very knowledgeable when it comes to mobile phones, he has owned 10 in the last year. He loves baseball and is a BIG Arizona Diamondbacks fan. Try to argue that your baseball team is better he will be prepared to prove you wrong any way he can!

bob12 Bob (Bob12)
Moderator
Bob has been involved with electronics for most of his life beginning in elementary school and computers since the Atari 800. He retired in early 2004 from a career in law enforcement communications and telecommunications training. The retirement will allow him to spend a lot more time on his primary hobby - photography. Bob's first PDA was a Casio Digital Diary with a whopping 8 kilobytes of RAM. That was gradually upgraded over the years to his current HP Jornada 720 handheld and HP iPaq HX4705. He has several cameras but his primary camera is a Canon EOS-1D Mark II 8.2 megapixel digital single lens reflex.

Howard Paw (Corn Bread)
Moderator
As long as it runs on electricity and has a CPU, Howard “Corn Bread” Paw, will definitely be all over it. Along with his gadget fetish, Howard is often caught browsing the web on his laptop or watching the latest Anime DVD. His day job includes working for a retail chain of Mobile phones and as contributing editor of Mobile Philippines (m|ph), the best technology magazine in the Philippines.

bino S. Campbell (10101001011)
News Writer & Moderator
S. Campbell, affectionately known to the PDALive.com community as "Bino", lives in the Canadian Maritimes. Computers, gadgets and things with electricity running through them are his life blood.  While he isn't frying himself with these, he enjoys working out, swimming, gardening and watching movies. As a moonlight job while at university he often edits or writes technically for various firms around the Maritimes. He has been an active member of the PDA online community for many years now.
